I don’t believe I have listened to Charlotte North before now. It look like Love Her or Lose Her is up next year, featuring Rosie and Dominic who we meet briefly here. I really loved this and can’t wait to see what happens next in the Hot and Hammered series.
Travis genuinely wants to see Georgie happy he just doesn’t believe he can give her what she wants. Georgie is a whirlwind who doesn’t really take no for an answer. He’s in the familiar mode of not letting anyone close so he doesn’t get hurt. Travis has more baggage of being mistreated, as a child and as an adult. They started already knowing each other a bit from childhood, so it’s more realistic.īoth of them need to work to be seen as who they are. I love the way they really listen to each other, help each other and support each others goals and feelings. The fake relationship gives them a chance to try on a relationship for size and work at making it function. Neither Travis or Georgie has had a long term relationship. But I love the fake relationship the best. Georgie is Travis’ best friend’s little sister. I enjoyed the cute and snarky dialogue between them. It’s hurtful and is affecting their careers. Both Travis and Georgie are caught in stereotypes which aren’t all that fitting or flattering to them. I saw Fix Her Up around on the Internet and decided I needed to listen to it. But she’s becoming the air he breathes and Travis can’t stay away, no matter how hard he tries.
Except Georgie’s off limits and he knows he can’t give her what she deserves. But the girl he used to tease is now a funny, full-of-life woman who makes him feel whole again.
